Crowns, or caps for teeth behave like normal teeth. If your tooth has suffered from a significantly amount of decay that it is unable to maintain a filling or if it has suffered damage (cracking or breaking) which may affect your tooth's root, We may recommend a crown for you.  A crown is basically a suit of armor for your tooth.  It surrounds the natural tooth and is affixed to the gum.

If one or multiple teeth need replacement, We may recommend a bridge. A bridge is actually "cemented" onto your teeth and is not a restorative type of dentistry that can repair or mend teeth--it is "fixed".
